Mac Setup Tutorial

This tutorial will guide you through setting up and using the proxy service on macOS. Follow the steps below to get started quickly.

Download the client

Download the client for macOS. You can download it in the following ways:

Install the client

After downloading, follow these steps to install ClashX Pro:

  1. Find the downloaded Clash.X.Pro.dmg file in Finder
  2. Double-click the .dmg file to open the disk image
  3. Drag the ClashX Pro app to the "Applications" folder
  4. Close the disk image window
  5. Find the ClashX Pro icon in the "Applications" folder and double-click to run it
  6. In the security prompt dialog, click "Open"
Note: Due to macOS security mechanisms, additional authorization is required the first time you open the app. If you see a prompt saying "The application can't be opened", contact support for help.

Grant system permissions

ClashX Pro needs some system permissions to work properly. The first time you open it, you may see the following permission requests:

Network Extension Permission

Allows the app to manage your network connection

Notification Permission

Allows the app to notify you when the status changes

Click "Allow" to grant these permissions. If you missed the prompt, you can go to:

  1. Open "System Preferences"
  2. Select "Security & Privacy"
  3. Click the "Privacy" tab
  4. Find "Network Extensions" and "Notifications" in the left list
  5. Make sure ClashX Pro is selected

Sign up or log in

After downloading, you need to log in to your account to get a subscription. If you don't have an account yet, click the button below to sign up:

Sign-up includes the following steps:

  1. Enter your email address and password
  2. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  3. Click "Create Account" to complete sign-up

If you already have an account, just enter your email address and password to log in.

Purchase a suitable subscription

After logging in, you need to purchase a subscription plan that suits you:

  1. Click "Subscription" in the left menu
  2. Select "Purchase Subscription"
  3. Choose a plan and complete payment

After purchase, your account will immediately receive the corresponding data allowance and validity period.

  1. Launch the ClashX Pro app
  2. Click the ClashX icon in the top menu bar
  3. From the dropdown, select "Configuration" -> "Managed Configurations" -> "Manage"
  4. Click "Add"
  5. Enter a configuration name and URL, then click "OK"
  6. Make sure "Set as current" is checked
  7. From the menu, select "Outbound Mode" -> "Global"
  8. Click "Set as System Proxy" to enable the proxy

After connecting successfully, the ClashX Pro icon will turn colored, indicating the service is running. You can now start using the acceleration service.

FAQ

Q01What if the client can't connect?

If you encounter connection issues, try the following:

  • Make sure your network connection is stable
  • Check whether the necessary system permissions have been granted
  • Try a different server node
  • Check whether your account has enough data
  • Restart the client or your computer
Q02How do I update the client?

ClashX Pro checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, you'll be notified. You can also click the menu bar icon and select "Check for Updates" to check manually.

Q03What if I run out of data?

When you run out of data, you can log in to our website to top up and purchase more data.
